The unusual teamwork between a bird, fish, and jaguar highlight the desperation of the wildlife to combat the deterioration of their home.
SYNOPSIS
-
The opening scene begins with the animals obtaining a leaf.
-
Cansu (fish) is introduced following its perspective underwater in a deserted and contaminated home.
As Echo approaches the single fish it sees in the area, it horrifyingly finds that instead it is a bundle of trash.
-
Up on land, visibly upset Sugarloaf Mountains have to deal with contaminated water.
They see a stream of trash heading towards them.
-
Along with other trash, two doll figurines are shown flowing along the stream. (any suggestions for design possibilities?)
-
(Other notable trash in Bay, as seen in photos: sea of dead fish, toy car. Reported by sailors: mattresses, cars, washing machines, trees, tables, televisions, couches, and chairs, dead dogs, horses, cats.)
-
-
Echo (bird), flying overhead, sees the disaster.
-
Cansu has a flashback of when the Bay used to be clean (show before/after scene of Bay?) and was happily together with its family. It remembers when its family members were trapped by plastic and could not escape the rapid flood of water flowing overhead. At the time, the Mountains were able to use their branches to remove the plastic off the young and small bird’s neck, saving it from drowning. However, its family members, larger and farther away, were not able to be saved by the Mountains.
-
Issue of animals dying from plastic, or specifically being trapped in it, although not uncommon, may be a cliche in story plots, making it not very memorable? (Feel free to alter.)
-
-
Resuming from the flashback, Cansu calls to alert Echo to help with the trouble heading their way.
-
Echo instinctively knows what to do. Using its convenient expandability, it warps its cheeks and body to suck in the large amounts of trash and then speedily spits trash back on land and into the trash can.
-
Echo and Cansu cheer, relieved that disaster was avoided. Or not.
-
They find that pollution is not just limited to the Bay. It’s everywhere. With quick thinking, the animals come up with a plan - Bird directs other a team of animals who are committed to get to work on not just saving the Bay, but their home.
-
Bo (jaguar) is introduced, speedily ready to help out.
-
Scene of clean bay and happy mountains—to be decided.
-
In the end, the two dolls are shown again happily sitting somewhere - against a tree possibly
