Sugarloaf Mountains

The Wise, Old Mountains have been here for a long time—millions of years actually. They've witnessed the evolution of all sorts of species and most recently, the establishment of human civilization.

Overtime, they've had to say goodbye to many of their wildlife friends due to natural extinction.

But this is the first time they've seen human-caused pollution and extinction to this extremity.

The Wise, Old Mountains are tired of having to see the rapidly increasing death and unnatural extinction of many of their friends. They don't feel right about blissfully ignoring the problems right in front of them.

While they have no superpower abilities, they were able to save Echo from a tragedy caused by human polluiton.

They serve as the voice—absent from humans themselves—to decry human action.

LEARN MORE ABOUT BRAZIL

Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is one of the selected sites for the 2016 Olympic Games. The current status of the Bay is concerning as the water quality is horrifically contaminated with human feces, dead fish, and other hazardous material.
