Doll Boy

Doll Girl

The Dolls are not action characters in the story, but rather they tell a more serious side to the impact of pollution.

The idea of implementing these characters was inspired by the notorious picture of the toy doll floating in Guanabara Bay: a haunting photo of a snapped-off doll head leering into our eyes in midst of a somber sky.

The Dolls lurk in the background of the scenes, representing the grim reality of all these environmental problems—the cost of human life.

While the main characters highlight the positives that result from teamwork and environmental consciousness, it is necessary to not forget that these problems won't be solved in a matter of minutes, much less decades.

The Dolls, in a more serious regard, can reflect our realities if we don't act now.

LEARN MORE ABOUT BRAZIL

Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is one of the selected sites for the 2016 Olympic Games. The current status of the Bay is concerning as the water quality is horrifically contaminated with human feces, dead fish, and other hazardous material.
